Washing your animal
If needed you can wash your animal on a wool program with mild or wool detergent and make sure it’s on a cold program: maximum 20 degrees. Let your animal dry by air, for example on a towel. Do not tumble dry your animal.
In case there are bigger stains on your animal, we recommend pre-treating the stains with delicate a stain detergent. You can let the detergent soak in for five minutes and wash your animal right after.
As the fabric of the animals is naturally dyed, small discoloration can occur by washing them. We recommend not washing your Karel too often, as colors will fade a little.

Pen stripes around the stitches
When you start using your animal it can be the case that some stripes that look like pencil inkt (red or blue) occur around the parts where the animal is stitched (like ears, neck or belly stripes). This is due tot the fact that the ladies use a special pens to draw the patterns. We take care to remove these stripes, but because of the use and the stretching of fabric this can become visible. These inkt spots or stripes can be easily removed with a clothing steamer or an iron with a steam function. If you steam the part with the pen stripe from 10 cm distance, the inkt will dissolve quickly.
